We're gearing up for our first big family trip as a family of four.
Plane tickets: Check!
Theme Park Tickets: Check!
Hotel Booked: Check!
8 Million Other Things: Ouch. (Thank goodness I have 6 weeks left to plan.)
This time of year we generally find ourselves with a little extra money on hand. Last year we repaved part of the driveway and erected a new fence. Boring! This year, Orlando!
Fred has a work conference, so we are staying at the hotel where the conference is taking place. That means we will save on most of the hotel costs in addition to his plane ticket. We've upped to a two room suite so that my Mom can join us, and we can take advantage of the full kitchen for a few meals. Still, it won't be a cheap trip.
So the new windows that I want to have installed, the remodeled upstairs room, etc., will just have to wait.
We're excited to experience life rather than spend our money on things that will just loose their new-ness. Maybe someday we will have a little more of both of those things, but for now, enjoying my kids early years is what really matters most.
Watch out Disney, we are coming your way soon!

Have a great time! Frederick will have fun of course, but you will LOVE experiencing Disney with Miss Charlotte. She's the PERFECT age! I think Maddie was her age when she went for the first time and she raved about it for months and months. Take lots of pics (with a name brand SD card of course - ha!). :-)
